Notification of cosmetic products is mandatory for all cosmetic products intended for consumption or use in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania and the European Union. In EU countries since 2013 11 July applicable in 2009 the provisions of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cosmetic products. The Regulation establishes a common procedure for the notification of cosmetic products throughout Europe. Prior to the placing on the market of a cosmetic product, notification is required in accordance with the provisions of Article 13 of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.
CPNP – Cosmetic Products Notification Portal
The CPNP shall contain information on the category and name of the cosmetic product, the name and address of the distributor and/or responsible person, information on the composition of the osmetic product (nanomaterials, carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction (CMR) substances, basic formula), the labelling of the package and other information on the packaging.
